Description
Organic Lavender is grown on our small farm in Orange, Virginia. We grow all of our herbs in a chemical free soil. Our weeds are maintained by mulching with wood chips year round. Using organic, composted material helps ammend our soil. Adding gravel and sand to our virginia soil gives good drainage to the lavender plant which is believed to have originated in the Mediterranean, Middle East and India. Its history goes back some 2500 years. Our organic dried lavender is used in many of our products. We add the organic dried lavender flowers to our Ash&Oil lavender o’lay soap to help with exfoliation. Additionally, we make an herbal infusion with the organic dried lavender flowers, which is incorporated into many of our recipes.
